Horn Beads

All of the beads and pendants on this page are made of horn. Horn is a great fit for nature-inspired projects and all of your earthy designs. Horn is one of the oldest adornment materials ever used. It is very dense, lightweight and durable. It can be polished to a high glossy finish. It has been made and carved into every shape imaginable. Most of our horn now comes from Water Buffalo. Horn looks great when paired with other natural beads, such as wood, bone, shells, or gemstones.

These black beads are hand carved from water buffalo horn. They have a nice shiny, glossy finish and are not as heavy as gemstone beads. Sold on 16" strands

These are black buffalo horn beads are round and have been carved in a squash or melon design. They have a nice high polish and gloss. Sold on 16" strands. Approximately 20 beads per strand.

This pendant is made from polished Buffalo horn and is a light golden brown color. It is in a traditional tooth shape and has a gold plated mounting on the top. A small amount of grain is sometimes visible in the horn. Each one is slightly different due to the hand made nature. They all have been polished to a shiny finish.

This is a large heart pendant carved from black horn. It is really unusual because the top is left in a rough, all natural finish. There are large holes drilled across on the top portion of the heart. The back of the pendant is black and has been polished flat, it could be worn on either side. It is about 8x12mm thick. These hand carved pendant crescents are made from Water Buffalo horn and have a wonderful BOHO, and ethnic style. This shape works well as a central focal point on necklaces.
