Ivory Beads, Pendants, & Jewelry

Can I buy beads and jewelry that are Genuine Elephant Ivory? Yes! These items were bought from antique dealers and collectors in the United States and come from supplies that were imported over 60 years ago. It is difficult to find these high quality ivory beads in excellent unused condition, most of these beads are available in limited numbers so get them while you can! Please note: US law does not allow us to ship ivory out of the country.
What is Fossilized Mammoth Ivory? Is it legal? They are digging up Prehistoric Woolly Mammoth Fossils from under the ice and tundra in the Arctic Circle. They are salvaging the tusks, and using them for jewelry and decorative arts. We have some of these beads for sale. Natural earthy colors vary from creams to browns and sometimes there are splashes of blues and greens. It all depends upon the mineral absorption from where and how long the ivory was buried. They are legal to buy and sell, and considered more eco friendly by some. Mammoth ivory has been seen on fashionable runways and boutiques all over the world. They have a great look!

These are vintage white ivory rounds with visible cross hatching. Beautiful beads in mint, unused condition with great polish. Very popular for making rosaries. See a close up.

Antique ivory beads that have back-to-back roses intricately hand carved on them. They are side-drilled so that the roses show up well when they are strung. They are very white and have a nice polish, they are excellent quality beads. Carved in Hong Kong in the 1960's.

These are vintage white ivory lentil beads. The beads are flat disks that have been expertly drilled and cut to fit perfectly together. They overlap each other when strung. They are in mint-unused condition. Sold in packages of 6 beads.

Size:

These rare beads were made from salvaged Prehistoric Woolly Mammoth Fossils found under the ice in the Arctic Circle. Their age varies anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 years old. These are a medium earthy tan color that is pretty even. They have a visible grain. See a close up.

Vintage elephant ivory pendant with a 14Kt yellow gold bail on the top. It was hand carved and is domed. This is new/old stock from a jewelery supply store. It has a beautiful polish and is perfectly smooth. Circa 1970's, Bail marked 14K.

Vintage ivory hoops that were hand carved and polished in Hong Kong. They are slightly domed with oval centers, sometimes called a door knocker design. These will make a lovely pair of earrings. Circa 1970's.

Dainty and beautifully carved daisy cabochon or flat back pendant. It has a dyed yellow center. It is made for gluing on a brooch, pendant, pin or anything else you want to decorate. There is a small hole in the middle of the back for a post. These are from the 1960's and is in mint unused condition.

These elegant ivory roses are three dimensional and beautifully carved. They are flat on the back with a small hole in the center. Each one is carved in high relief with a great deal of detail and each is slightly different. (7-10mm High) Great for pendants, pins or earrings. Vintage elephant ivory and gold heart earrings. The hearts are covered in 14kt gold threads that highlight the carved ridges on the hearts. They are still on their original earring cards. 14Kt gold pierced earring posts - Mint unused condition.

Beautiful elephant ivory necklace with a stunning scrimshaw pendant in the center. The pendant has been expertly carved in a floral pattern and has polychrome srimshaw. The necklace consists of large 10mm ivory beads that are hand knotted on silk along with the large carved ivory pendant. The ivory necklace has a warm patina finish and has yellowed slightly from age and wear. Cross graining is visible on the ivory beads and pendant. This necklace was imported before the ivory ban. It has a lovely gold tone oriental style box clasp with a safety catch, that works very well. The necklace weighs 89.6 grams. It is signed by the artist on the back. This lovely necklace was made from rare beads that were made from salvaged Prehistoric Woolly Mammoth Fossils found under the ice in the Arctic Circle. These are beautiful cream colored vintage elephant ivory screw clasps. Each barrel clasp was hand made and they thread together tightly. They are tapered and nicely polished. These clasps are the perfect closure for your ivory necklaces. We have a nice selection of sizes available.

Arts and Crafts necklace with a unique pendant made of fossilized mammoth ivory. It dangles from a 17 inch sterling silver chain. It is in a sterling setting that has nice silver craftsmanship around the sides and on the textured back. Probably Native American made. This is a gorgeous necklace designed by the world famous jeweler, Patricia Von Musulin. Her pieces are known to be stylish and graceful, and they always have a sculptural quality to them. This necklace is constructed of four strands of round elephant ivory beads with a carved exotic wood center panel. The ivory beads are 8mm and 15mm round beads that are smooth and polished. The necklace is finished with a matching wood clasp that is Von Musulin's signature key design. The carved wood pendant is 2 x 2 1/2 inches.
