African Blue Striped Powder Glass Beads
These are old sandcast or powder glass beads in the Akoso style. They were made in Ghana from pulverized glass. The oval beads are blue with red and white stripes. The glass colors are poured into a clay mold to create the beads. These are lovely colors and will add a wonderful ethnic look to your jewelry. The Ghananians have been making beads in this manner since the 1600s.
