Red White Blue Venetian Striped Chevron Trade Beads
Early 20th century Venetian chevron striped beads. These 5 layer Chevron glass beads are tube shaped with flat ends. They were created in a multi-step process involving fusing glass canes, then slicing them so the stars appear. They have a brick red glass core with even blue and white stripes. The finish is nice and glossy. They were made for trade in Africa. These antique beads have some chips and dings, which adds to their beauty and story.
