These are rust colored bauxite or pipestone beads. They are rondelle shaped beads from Ghana, Africa. Bauxite is an aluminium ore and these beads were hand made and drilled in a labor intensive process. African Bauxite beads are known for their earthy rust color. These antique beads have some chips and dings, which add to their beauty and story.
