Antique Egg Yolk Millefiori Trade Beads Yellow & Blue

Striking antique trade beads composed of yellow, blue and rust African Trade Beads. These are authentic glass millefiori or mosaic tube beads in a design often called Egg Yolk. The glass beads are a round cylinder shape with flat ends. They were made in Italy and later traded to Africa. The beads have a very intricate and complex design, sometimes called egg yolk. They have a black core with yellow eyes ringed by blue, rust and white. The beads are strung on traditional raffia, the strand is open on the ends. Some of the beads are long tubes (30mm) and others are slices of tubes (12mm).
