Cat's Eye Black Diopside Pendant Sterling Silver

This is a lovely sterling silver pendant with a Cat's Eye Diopside cabochon.  It is bezel set in a sterling silver frame. The cabochon is 17mm round and domed, it is a dark gray color that is almost black with lovely chatoyancy. The cat's eye effect, is caused by inclusions of fine, slender parallel mineral fibers in the gemstone that reflect light in a single band. Wearing cat's eye is believed to help ward off evil and acts as a talisman to protect against danger. The pendant has a large bail on the top that can easily slip on a cord, chain or necklace.
