African Blue & Yellow Sandcast Beads

These are African sandcast glass tube beads in the Akoso style. These antique beads were made in Ghana many years ago from pulverized glass. The beads are an aqua blue color with a yellow stripe in the center. The glass colors are poured into a clay mold to create the tube beads. They are on a temporary cord.

These are lovely colors and will add a wonderful ethnic look to your jewelry. The Ghananians have been making beads in this manner since the 1600s.
