African Blue & Brown Sandcast Beads

These are sandcast glass tube beads in the Akoso style. They were made in Ghana from pulverized glass in blue, brown and white. The molten glass is poured into a clay mold shaped like tubes. These are beautiful beads and will add a wonderful ethnic look to your jewelry. The Ghanaians have been making beads in this manner since the 1600s. Circa 1970's
