Miriam Haskell Pine Cone Brooch WWII Wood

Miriam Haskell Pine Cone Brooch WWII Wood

$6,482.00

Wonderful and rare early Miriam Haskell wood and glass pin dating from the 1940s.  The brooch was designed by Frank Hess with wooden flower beads clustered along the top section and stacked together to form pinecone shaped drops. The pin is accented with green glass leaves. I have seen this pin in natural wood before, but I have never seen it in green; it is much rarer. The length of the pin is about 3 1/2 inches and the width about 1 1/2 inches. The pin is unsigned but is pictured in Christie Romero's Warman's Jewelry, 3rd Ed, page 195. The pin has an older style C clasp and the overall condition is very good with normal age and tarnish.

This will make a great addition to any Haskell jewelry collection.

        Size: 1½ x 3½ inches
