Fabulous Asian sculpted Goldfish Salt and Pepper Shakers by Franz Porcelain. The shakers are a vibrant pair of orange goldfish designed by Ming Lei and hand sculpted by Ho Shun. Goldfish represent wealth and prosperity in Chinese culture, because the actual word in Chinese for fish is abundance. The shakers are design number FZ00669 and are new in the original box. Signed on the bottom with Franz's blue logo and design number. Franz porcelain is created using the finest Chinese clay and glazes that have fluid shading a lovely depth of color. Franz's talented staff of artisans have experimented with the many ways to glaze, decorate and fire ceramics for decades.
