This gorgeous vintage necklace features aventurine glass beads from the Isle of Murano in Italy. The beautiful beads are clear glass with white and sparkling gold decorations swirling inside, a design called sommerso, which means "submerged". The beads are graduated freeform ovals with glittery gold and white colors. The gold or copper flecks are called aventurine, it is a type of glass, based on the original Italian name aventurina - The effect is stunning. The beads have small glass beads in between and it has a traditional brass screw clasp.
