Antique Art Nouveau Enamel & 10K Gold Lingerie Pin
A lovely antique Art Nouveau pin from the turn of the century. This is a classic enamel pink, yellow and green lily. This pin was hand wrought in 10 karat yellow gold and has an older style C clasp that works well.
This pin's diminutive size qualifies it as a lapel pin, collar pin, lace pin, or lingerie pin. Small pins like this were popular and used to hold a proper lady’s undergarments in place. Since a Victorian lady would want something elegant, even for her undergarments, pins were often decorated with gemstones, pearls or enameling. It would also be wonderful as a Doll Brooch or Barrette .
