Fabulous vintage jade tusk pendants with silver bails. They are NOS made from genuine green nephrite jade. They were hand carved into a curved tooth or tusk shape and are considered amulets of ancient origin worn to protect against the evil eye. These have a silver bail on the top. They are a nice dark green with a few minor inclusions visible in the horn. They have been polished to a shiny finish. From an old jewelry store that closed out, packaging says made in Taiwan.
The Italian's call them cornuto, corno, or cornicello. Corno means "horn" and cornicello means "little horn" -- these names refer to a long, gently twisted horn-shaped amulet.
