Late 19th century Venetian chevron striped beads. These glass beads are rondelle shaped with flat ends. Chevrons beads were created in a multi-step process involving fusing glass canes. They have a clear glass core with a red base and intricate and even stripes of lime green, red and white. What amazing detail on these small beads. They were made for trade in Africa.
