These vintage pendants are NOS made from genuine green jade. They are amulets of ancient origin worn to protect against the evil eye. These have a gold plated bail on the top. The pendants are carved into a long tooth or tusk shape with gentle twists. They are a nice green with a few minor inclusions visible and have they been polished to a shiny finish. From an old jewelry store that closed out, packaging says made in Taiwan.
The Italian's call them cornuto, corno, or cornicello. Corno means "horn" and cornicello means "little horn" -- these names refer to a long, gently twisted horn-shaped amulet.
