Red Glass African Trade Bead Necklace

This is a wonderful red glass bead necklace. This chunky necklace composed of African Trade Beads. The largest beads are red glass Venetian cylinder beads from the early 1900's. They are large shiny red glass tubes that are 12mm wide and 26-28mm long. This fabulous necklace includes black glass beads, small gold beads and glass pearls in between for accents. It terminates in a larger red glass bead that measures 22mm wide x 30mm long. The necklace is hand strung on cord without a clasp. 

This necklace is from the estate of a Jewelry/Bead collector and was purchased in the 1960's.

 The necklace measures 30½ inches long and easily slips over your head. These antique beads have some chips and dings, which add to their beauty and story.
