Sterling Silver & Black Sardonyx Pendant Extra Large

Vintage Sterling Silver pendant with a large black sardonyx oval gemstone in the center.  Sardonyx is a black Chalcedony-based stone with inclusions of white, brown that appear like veins or thin stripes across each stone. Like most black gemstones. The large cabochon measures 40 x 30mm. The gemstone is framed in a rope frame that is decorated with granulation. It has a large decorative filigree bail on the top that can accommodate a rope, cord, chain or wire.
